Connect Deel to IntraQ
IntraQ connects to Deel to bring authorized workforce and organizational information into your HR operations intelligence environment. Once connected, IntraQ can evaluate available Deel information alongside other connected systems, policies, documents, and governed sources to help your organization understand what is happening across HR.
Before you connect
You must be an authorized administrator in IntraQ, and you must have sufficient permissions in Deel to authorize the integration. If you are unsure whether your Deel account can authorize an integration, check with whoever administers Deel for your organization before you begin.
How to connect Deel
- Sign in to IntraQ.
- Open Connections.
- Find Deel and select Connect.
- IntraQ will securely redirect you to Deel.
- Review the permissions requested by IntraQ.
- Authorize the connection in Deel.
- Deel will securely redirect you to IntraQ.
- IntraQ will verify the connection and begin retrieving the workforce and organizational information authorized through the integration.
The exact connection experience may vary while the Deel integration is being reviewed for marketplace availability.
What IntraQ uses Deel for
Deel provides authorized source information that can contribute to IntraQ’s governed organizational intelligence. Where the information is present and accessible, that can include:
- Workforce. Who is currently part of the organization.
- Employment. Dated employment records, including when employment started and, where recorded, when it ended.
- Assignment. Role and job title information associated with an employment record.
- Organizational structure. Departments and teams as your Deel environment defines them.
- Location. Work location information associated with an employment record.
- Reporting. Reporting relationships where Deel supplies an identifier for the manager.
What is actually available depends on the information present and accessible in your own Deel environment. If your Deel account does not record something, or the authorized permissions do not reach it, IntraQ will not have it — and will report it as unavailable rather than inferring it.
Permissions
The integration is designed around read-only access for organizational intelligence. IntraQ requests the following permissions from Deel:
| Permission | What it allows IntraQ to read |
|---|---|
people:read | Read the workforce directory and the employment records Deel holds for each person. |
contracts:read | Read employment contract records. |
organizations:read | Read organization details, departments, teams and reporting relationships. |
IntraQ does not request any permission that allows it to write, create, update, approve or delete information in Deel. The integration reads; it does not change anything in your Deel account.
How IntraQ handles Deel information
Deel remains the source system
Deel stays authoritative for the information it holds. IntraQ reads from Deel; it does not replace it, and it does not become the record of your employment data.
Availability is not proof of completeness
A successful read is not evidence that everything was returned. IntraQ distinguishes between information it has retrieved and information it can establish is complete, and it reports the difference rather than presenting one as the other.
Provenance is preserved
Governed information carries where it came from. When IntraQ states something that rests on information from Deel, the source of that information is retained.
Missing information stays missing
If something is unavailable, IntraQ reports it as unavailable. An absent record is not converted into a positive assertion, and a read that could not be completed is not reported as an empty result.
Deel information can be combined with other sources
IntraQ may combine authorized Deel information with information from other connected systems to provide broader organizational context. Where information from two systems is combined, each part keeps its own source.
Troubleshooting
Authorization fails
Confirm that your Deel account has sufficient permission to authorize an integration, and that you completed the authorization in Deel rather than closing the window part-way. If authorization continues to fail, contact IntraQ Support.
The connection does not complete
If you are returned to IntraQ and the connection is not shown as connected, try the connection once more from the beginning. If it does not complete on a second attempt, contact IntraQ Support rather than repeating it further.
Expected Deel information is unavailable
First confirm the information exists in Deel and that your authorized permissions reach it. IntraQ can only use what the integration is permitted to read. If the information is present in Deel, is covered by the permissions above, and is still not available in IntraQ, contact IntraQ Support.
Permissions have changed
If the permissions granted to IntraQ are reduced or withdrawn in Deel, IntraQ will stop being able to read the affected information. It reports the reduced access rather than reporting the information as absent. Restoring the permissions in Deel and reconnecting restores the integration.
Reconnecting the integration
To reconnect, repeat the connection steps above. If you need the existing connection removed first, or you are unsure which connection is active, contact IntraQ Support and we will confirm it for you.
